Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Window Shade Tech to clean and repair shades, measure, assemble, and install various types of window treatments, including blinds, shades, shutters, curtain systems and patio shades. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Install, clean and repair a variety of window treatments (roller shades, cellular shades, vertical blinds, motorized systems, shutters, etc.)
Measure windows accurately to ensure proper fit of new shades and blinds
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues on-site
Educate customers on product operation and maintenance
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Travel to residential and/or commercial job sites
Complete required paperwork, installation reports, and documentation
Qualifications
High school diploma or higher
Previous experience in window treatment installation, carpentry, construction, or related field preferred
Ability to read and interpret work orders and measurements
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on laddersPreferred Skills
Experience with motorized/automated shade systems
Knowledge of basic electrical wiring (for motorized shades)
Carpentry or trim installation experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Work Environment
Primarily on-site at residential with some commercial locations
Cleaning blinds and shades can expose you to less than desirable environments
Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and lifting
May require travel within designated service area (ICT Metro, with occasional overnight to surrounding area)
